Ever since the day I 1) decided (decide) to move to London, I 2) have been worrying (worry) whether the decision I 3) took (take) was the right one. As I 4) have already sold (already sell) my house and 5) have arranged (arrange) a new job, it is too late to change my mind. However, since then, I 6) have heard (hear) a lot of negative things about living in the capital, and lately some of them 7) have begun (begin) to bother me. I 8) grew up (grow up) in a fairly small town and I 9) have spent (spend) all my life there. I 10) have always wanted (always want) to live in a big city and so when my company 11) offered (offer) me a job in their London office, I 12) grabbed (grab) at the chance. But according to a programme I 13) have just heard (just hear) on the radio, more and more people 14) have stopped (stop) working in London recently , and a lot of large companies 15) have chosen (choose) to move away from the centre. Of course I 16) have told (tell) my parents that I’m moving and they 17) have accepted (accept) my decision, but when 18) told (tell) my friends they 19) seemed (seem) rather shocked. Since then I 20) have been hoping (hope) secretly that the company would tell me that the move was off.
There are seven pets in our house - a dog, a parrot, a rabbit, a tortoise, a cat and two hamsters. They are all so different! Our dog is the cleverest of all. The cat is the laziest of all. The rabbit is the shiest, but tortoise is the slowest. The hamsters are funnier than the tortoise. The parrot is prettiest of all. Our pets are the best. We love them very much!
