Видимый признак – воронка, состоящая из водяных капель, иногда предметов, на протяжении своего существования торнадо не всегда соприкасается с поверхностью земли. Пыль и мусор во вращающейся воронке также делают торнадо видимым и указывают на положение смерча.

New Year's Day
On the 1st of January we celebrate New Year's Day. It is a national holiday celebrated by people with their families and friends.
A few weeks before the holiday cities and towns of our country turn into a wonderland of colourful lights and decorations. On the eve of the holiday people clean their homes, decorate New Year trees and prepare gifts for their friends and relatives. At schools and kindergartens there are New Year's costume parties where children sing, dance and get gifts "from Father Frost".
On the 31st of December people have the New Year’s Eve dinner with such traditional dishes as roast chicken, Russian salad (called "Olivier") and herring in "shuba-coat". At about midnight we listen to our President's New Year message and to the bells chiming marking the start of the New Year. After that people go to watch fireworks or they stay at home and watch New Year TV-shows.
After the celebration people are full of hope and keep feeling happy for a few days. This is another reason why I like this holiday so much.
1 января мы празднуем Новый год. Это национальный праздник, который отмечают люди со своими семьями и друзьями.
За несколько недель до праздника города и поселки нашей страны превращаются в страну чудес с разноцветными огнями и украшениями. Накануне праздника люди убирают свои дома, украшают елки и готовят подарки для друзей и близких. В школах и детских садах проходят новогодние костюмированные утренники, где дети поют, танцуют и получают подарки «от Деда Мороза».
31 декабря люди устраивают новогодний ужин с такими традиционными блюдами, как жареная курица, салаты "Оливье" и "сельдь под шубой". Около полуночи мы слушаем новогоднее послание нашего президента и звон колоколов, знаменующих начало нового года. После этого люди идут смотреть фейерверки или остаются дома и смотрят новогодние телешоу.
После праздника люди полны надежды и продолжают чувствовать себя счастливыми в течение нескольких дней. Это еще одна причина, почему мне так нравится этот праздник.
Environmental problems of Zaporozhye and their solution

The largest hydroelectric power station of the Dnipro cascade - the DneproGES-was built in the Zaporozhye region on the Dnipro river.
Unfortunately, our native Zaporozhye is among the leaders among cities with the worst ecology.
Nature is the only and permanent source of material and spiritual benefits. Constantly using this source, people did not even want to think that it would ever be exhausted, but today it has become clear that without a radical solution to the urgent problems, it is impossible to ensure the further development of the economy. The main environmental pollutants are thermal power plants, metallurgical and chemical industries, and utilities.
The city is located on both banks of the Dnieper. The development of Zaporozhye, developed in such a way that large industrial enterprises were in close proximity to residential development. Many residential buildings are located within the sanitary protection zones of industrial enterprises. A dark purple haze of smog constantly hangs over Zaporozhye, formed by the emissions of industrial enterprises concentrated in a relatively small space. This is facilitated by the terrain, which is a wavy plain, cut by a gully-beam network with a height difference of up to 100 m, which worsens the airability of the territory and the conditions for dispersion of dust and gas emissions. Our city is also among the most polluted cities in the world.(
The current environmental situation in the Zaporozhye region has become extremely dangerous!
Despite the duration of the study of this problem, the utilization and processing of industrial waste is not carried out at the proper level.
If there is a way out of this situation? Yes, there is still one. It is necessary to learn to understand the laws of nature and to reckon with them. There is nothing infinite in nature, everything is expedient and interconnected.
Installation of cleaning devices, gas and dust traps is very expensive, not all plants can afford to buy them, or find funds for the reconstruction of existing installations. We need to use low-waste and non-waste technology, use environmentally-friendly fuels in road transport it is important to improve the quality of fuel and engines, greater use of diesel engines etc. In many enterprises, up to 90% of dust and gases are captured by one method or another.
