holidays. We celebrate them all together and sometime invite other family members and friends.But there are some holidays that we don’t celebrate, but speak about history and respect that tradition. Well I mean Victory Day. I think it’s a great and important holiday, that every person has to respect.We celebrate Victory Day in May 9. This is the day when the Great Patriotic War was finished. Our people fought a lot and suffered too much. We didn’t expect the beginning of that war, but German soldiers attacked us. My grandparents and my great grandparents were protecting our country as much as they could, but many our relatives died. We have a photo album with some pictures of that time and keep this memories.At school we speak a lot about the Great Patriotic War and organize concerts on Victory Day. We invite some veterans and give them presents.In the evening I go to the center with all my family. Victory Day is a day off, so people can go out and enjoy this time. We have a great concert on that day, street market and huge fireworks. Everyone enjoys this holiday, because we don’t really know what tragedy had happened in past. We read a lot about it, we watch movies, listen to the stories but can not even imagine what the war is.I always say a lot of thanks to my grandparents and all veterans who protected our country.
