The USA
The United States of America, popularly referred to as the United
States or as America is a federal republic on the continent of North
America, consisting of 50 states. New York City is the largest city in
the United States. Washington, D.C., is the capital.
The supreme law of the land is the Constitution of the United
States. The Constitution was drafted in 1787, was ratified by the required
twoothirds of the states by June 1788, and was put into effect in 1789.
The first ten amendments, known as the Bill of Rights, were adopted
in 1791. They provide for freedom of speech, freedom of religion,
freedom of the press, the right to assemble, the right to petition the
government, and various due process and criminal procedure rights for
individuals. Seventeen additional amendments were adopted between
1795 and 1992, abolishing slavery, providing for an income tax, and
providing for universal suffrage for all people 18 or older, among other
purposes.
The Constitution provides for a union of states, each with its own
constitution, republican form of government, and reserved powers,
within a federal system. The national government is responsible for
external affairs and has concurrent powers with states, commonn
wealths, and selffgoverning territories over domestic matters. The head
of state is the President of the United States; and the seat of government
is the District of Columbia, which has limited home rule and no voting
representation in the national legislature.
The Constitution establishes three separate branches of government:
the legislative, executive, and judicial.
Article II of the Constitution states that a president and vice president
are chosen by a majority of voters in the Electoral College, for a fixed term
of four years. The 22nd Amendment (1951) limits presidents to two terms
in office. By state law, electors are chosen by a plurality of the popular
vote in each state and in the District of Columbia. In almost all cases the
winner of the popular vote is elected president.
The American President typically has a greater range of functions
than prime ministers in parliamentary governments because the
President serves as ceremonial chief of state as well as head of government.
Unlike most presidents in other nations, the American President is also
the head of his or her party, an important legislative leader, and the chief
executive. The Constitution makes the President CommanderrinChief
of the U.S. armed forces.
The president’s diplomatic powers include negotiation and
ratification of treaties, with the consent of twoothirds of the Senate;
the appointment of ambassadors to foreign nations, also with the
consent of the Senate; and the reception of foreign ambassadors. The
president negotiates, on his or her own authority, executive agreements
with leaders of other nations.
An extensive advisory system serves the president. The President’s
cabinet also serves as a source of information and advice. It consists of the
heads of the governmental departments and a few other officials, such as
the director of the Central Intelligence Agency and the U.S. ambassador
to the United Nations (UN). The cabinet has no power of its own.
All legislative powers granted by the Constitution in Article I are
exercised by the Congress of the United States. Congress consists of
two houses, the Senate and the House of Representatives. The Senate
contains 100 senators, two representing each state — a provision of the
Constitution not subject to amendment. The 435 members of the House
are elected by the different states on the basis of their population at the
most recent U.S. census. Every two years all 435 members of the House
are elected, and oneethird of the senators.
Congress has extensive powers in domestic affairs, including the power
to tax, borrow money and pay debts, coin money and regulate its value,
and regulate commerce among the states. Congress helps to establish and
oversees the departments and agencies of the executive branch; it also
establishes the lower federal courts and determines their jurisdiction.

strangers say that family is the most important thing in life. And I fully agree with this. But let's try to figure out what this word means by itself. First of all, the family is the Foundation that gives the child all the necessary human qualities, educates kindness and responsiveness. Thanks to the family, a person becomes who he is now. The family is the only structure of society where people really need each other. Nothing can replace a family, no kindergarten, no school, or anything else. It is in the family that you are really dear and the family will do anything to make you feel happy.

My family consists of 3 people: my father, mother and me. My dad is very kind, but sometimes he can be strict, but that doesn't stop me from loving him. Dad is the head of our family and All the hard work around the house rests on him. There is no task that dad can't handle. He is strong and brave, often likes to joke, always helps if something does not work out, will prompt the right decision. I consider him a role model. I value my dear mother as much as my father. This is the person who will support me in any difficult situation, will judge and understand. I have no secrets from her, because I trust her completely and I know that her advice will always help. And my mother knows how to cook very well, there is no holiday without her delicious dishes. In warm weather, my father and mother and I go to the forest for a picnic, fish and play football or volleyball.

In my opinion, I have a very good, kind and cheerful family, in which there is mutual understanding, and, most importantly, a manifestation of kindness and care. And in my opinion, each member should contribute to the happiness of the family. After all, having a good family in our time is a gift of fate. You need to appreciate what you have, because it's easier to lose than to find again.

In my essay, I would not like to go into too much detail about how important family is to a person. It is a great value. It saves you from loneliness, gives you love and intimacy. For a child, this should be a reliable environment where they are taught to learn about the world, where they are taken care of, where they will always be helped. For an adult, it's the same.

It's good to know that there are people who love you, no matter what you are. And we are always ready to support you. These people are parents, children, siblings, grandparents.

I am more interested in the question: why are some people unhappy in the family? Why do marriages break up? Why do adult children forget about their parents or, on the contrary, parents treat their babies poorly? We see many examples of this around. There is even a social term: "dysfunctional family". And why do people often quarrel even in seemingly happy families?

Some people even say: the relatives are tormented, nothing can be done in their own way. And you don't have to get married or get married at all.

In search of an answer, I opened the encyclopedia to find out what definition is given to the family in society. Family? — a small group based on marriage or consanguinity, whose members are connected by common life, mutual assistance, moral and legal responsibility. That's it, you don't have to read any more. There should be mutual assistance in the family. And not so that one person helps everyone, while others "carry water" on it. If there is no mutual assistance, then there is no family at all, even if people are relatives.

But if there is a family, what should it be? Of course, the best family – dad, mom, children, grandparents. It is probably not for nothing that such a friendly family is considered ideal in Russia. The father is the head of the family, the mother is the Keeper of the family hearth, grandparents do not get bored alone, children have someone to communicate with.

But if such a family for some reason did not develop, then you can not consider any other incomplete. For example, there is a mother and child. Or grandparents and their grandchildren. Or a single father with children. Or just husband and wife. In such a family, although it is considered incomplete by society, there may be more love than in a traditional one.

The main thing is not to lock yourself in your family. A person lives not only in it, but in the big world and in a big society. If someone thinks that he will be "good" only for his family, and no more friends, but all enemies, then soon his family will begin to get into trouble.

Why is it difficult for a person in the family? I found the answer. Because people can be selfish. They are sometimes considered to be close to their property. They demand submission from their relatives, constant support, forgetting that everyone invests equal shares of love and understanding in a real family.
