Мой обычный учебный день начинается с моего прихода в школу. Раньше мы жили далековато, и я добирался до школы на автобусе, поэтому мне приходилось вставать в семь часов. Теперь я живу недалеко, поэтому просыпаюсь в половине восьмого утра. Иду в школу пешком, это нисколько не трудно. Идти пешком интересно, особенно когда рядом идёт твой лучший друг. Первый урок — русский язык. Мы изучаем новые правила, выполняем упражнения, пишем диктанты, сочинения, изложения. Эти уроки учат нас правильной речи, культуре общения. Я всегда считал и считаю до сих пор уроки русского языка одними из наиболее важных среди учебных предметов. Без знания родного языка невозможно добиться крупных успехов в изучении других предметов, где много теоретического материала и нужно учиться по учебникам. Второй и третий уроки отданы, обычно, тоже серьёзным предметам. Это, чаще всего, математика и история или биология. Если математика, как и русский язык, — письменный предмет, то история или биология — предметы устные. Здесь важно уметь слушать и рассказывать то, что выучил или прочитал дома, а также то, что запомнил из объяснения учителя. Четвёртый урок — ИЗО, физкультура или музыка. Это, как обычно, самые любимые наши предметы. Почему? Потому что здесь почти все могут проявить себя, часто получают хорошие оценки, а на ИЗО и музыке есть возможность показать своё творчество. Физкультура проходит или в спортзале, если плохая погода, или на спортплощадке, если погода нормальная. Все предметы проходят в отдельных кабинетах. Каждый кабинет оформлен по-своему, и каждый из них по-своему хорош. В кабинете русского языка на стенах развешаны красивые стенды с правилами и памятками. В кабинете математики неоценимую оказывают различные таблицы, а особо интересна огромная раздвижная доска, на которой умещается почти весь материал урока. Пятый и шестой уроки — трудовое обучение. Уроки эти проходят у девочек в кабинете труда, а у нас, мальчиков, в мастерских. Нас учат вещам, которые обязательно пригодятся нам в жизни: работе с деревом, с металлом, основам слесарного дела. Очень важный и интересный предмет — трудовое обучение. Все ребята обожают его. Так проходит мой обычный школьный день. Каждый такой день насыщен множеством интересных и разных вещей, и рассказать о каждой из них просто невозможно!

A well-known proverb says that first impressions are half the battle. It means that when we see a person for the first time, we always estimate his or her appearance and clothes, and then manners and character. And only after we spend much time together with this person, we begin to understand his inner world, his real thoughts and feelings. That is why I think, those, who say that appearance doesn’t matter at all, are slightly insincere. Of course, height and weight are not the most crucial things on Earth, but sometimes they really matter. For example, when you are applying for a prestigious job, your appearance may play a decisive role.
