Many people want to work in offices because they believe that it is one of the most respected forms of employment. Workplaces in the office with controlled temperature and comfort will undoubtedly attract any employee to work there.
Working in an office environment, of course, has many advantages. This is primarily:
1) Discipline of the regime
2) New friends and connections
3) Working atmosphere
4) Communication
But work in the office also has its drawbacks.
1) Control. Finding a room or a place in the office where you can meditate in your spare time is a difficult mission.
2) Poor nutrition. If there is no kitchen in the office, or at least a microwave oven, employees are forced to make quick snacks with cookies, or look for the nearest fast food.
3) Burnout. Burnout is often accompanied by the same type of work. Very often managers are not interested in the development of their subordinates and burden them with work that does not bring any satisfaction.
4) Reboot. Reboot, in my opinion, is one of the most common problems that motivates to change office work to home. And it's not about the amount of work, but about the fact that the road, traffic, morning work fees take up too much time and effort.
But now the number of people working from home is constantly growing around the world. In recent years, a lot of research has been conducted, all the results of which prove one thing - people who work remotely, are more productive and feel happier.
The main advantage of working online is controlling your own time. You don't just work 8 or 10 hours a day doing certain tasks, you can manage your time: when you spend it on development, when on vacation. You can both work and develop at the same time.
Of the minuses: lack of socialization, problems of self-control, no isolated workspace. In turn, it is quite difficult to switch to online work right away. You need to prepare for this, namely: to gain a base of knowledge, experience, etc.
Despite the fact that remote work has a number of advantages, it is not suitable for everyone, and the fact that for some - a dream, for others it can be a real nightmare.
Therefore, the choice - to work at home or in the office - should be considered more in terms of personal preference. Before making a final decision, whether to work in the office or online, you need to weigh the pros and cons.
