Millions of people watch football each weekend, during the autumn and winter. Baseball is also very popular. They play football in the spring and summer, while in the winter they play basketball. Basketball started in America in XIX century. People wanted to play sports in winter, but it was too cold outside. Basketball was the game they could play inside in the gyms. Each school in the USA has its own team of young athletes. The pupils and their families and friends come to watch school games. Thousands of children play basketball at weekends. School games can be as much fun as the big games.

I don't walk much in winter, because it is cold outside.
