Jimmy Carter , the thirty-ninth president of the United States , left office in 1981 , and became Professor of Emory University in Atlanta,Georgia, and founded the Carter Center. The aim of the Carter Center was to resolve conflict , promote democracy, protect human rights and prevent disease and other problems. Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter volunteer one wet a year for Habitat for Humanity, an organization that helps needy people in the United States and in other countries. He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Peace in 2002.
I had an Autumn holiday! It was not very long, but I had a rest. I met with my friends. We walked together every day if the weather was fine. We walked in the park or in the street. If it was rainy and cold we went to a café and eat pizza with juice. One day I went to the cinema with my best friend. We watched a horror film “Silent Hill”. It was about a girl who looked for her father in Silent hill. It was a very creepy film. I liked it. In the evening I played computer games or listened to music or read a book. I read a book about anorexia; one girl didn’t eat anything and gets ill. At weekend I visited my grandparents with my parents. I helped my grandmother to cook dinner. We had a very tasty dinner. After dinner we saw old photos of my family. It is always interesting for me to find out something interesting about my relatives. I liked my holiday very much because I did everything I wanted.
Vegetarianism in our time is very popular. Vegetarians are people who refuse food of animal origin. These are dairy products, meat, fish, eggs. Vegetarians prefer to eat plant foods of vegetable origin: vegetables and fruits. People who lead this way of life believe that they will live longer and will be healthier. Fruits and vegetables contain many vitamins and nutrients. But the body also needs protein, fats and carbohydrates, which are found in meat, milk and fish. Doctors do not advise eating this way, as it can provoke serious diseases.
We all have our own opinion and the right to choose. To feel good, you need to exercise every day and eat right. Everyone chooses what is best for him.
