Every day we communicate with scores of people; we talk about politics, work, life, money and so on. After all, do we know what communication is? An encyclopedia says that “communication is a process whereby information is enclosed, channeled and imparted by a sender to a receiver via some medium. The receiver than decodes the message and gives the sender a feedback”. So, this is a scientific explanation of the notion “communication”. But what dies communication mean for common person of any age, sex, rank and social position?
Communication is one of the most important necessities of every human being. Even millions years ago when primitive men could not speak, they communicate with the help of gestures, sounds and pictures. If we try to imagine our life without communication with each other, the picture will be dull and unemotional, like the science fiction where people are replaced by robots.
Besides exchanging the information, we exchange our feelings, emotions, gestures and so on. Communication can reveal different feelings. According to the theme of the communication, communicator, conditions, communication can leave us happy, satisfied, indifferent, irritated or enraged. Sometimes good communication can replace medicine in the case of depression. Our relatives and close people can understand anything without words just looking at our eyes, and that is communication too.
Now people can communicate even if their dialog is not face to face. Modern gadgets give us such opportunity. For instance, sending a short messageby the mobile phone, you can put different marks or smiles conveying your emotions; using the program Skype for chattering you can see your partners face and all gestures he uses.
On the other hand, there is a great detail that cannot substitute communication face to face. When you communicate with a person who can even keep silence, you can understand this person by his or her gestures, eyes and body language. During our communication we often unconsciously touch each other, and that also gives us a piece of information.
To draw a conclusion, I suppose that all modern and fashionable gadgets for communication are really useful things when you have no opportunity to meet a person. Nevertheless, if you have one, enjoy every moment of this process because it is a real treasure and “Good communication is as stimulating as black coffee and just as hard to sleep after”.
Каждый день мы общаемся с десятками людей; мы разговариваем о политике, работе, жизни, деньгах и так далее. Но все же, знаем ли мы что такое коммуникация? Энциклопедия говорит, что «коммуникация – это процесс, в котором заключенная информация передается через определенные каналы связи получателю. Получатель декодирует эту информацию и передает ответ отправителю». Это научное объяснение понятия коммуникация. Что же это понятие означает для обычного человека, независимо от его возраста, пола, рода деятельности и социального положения?
Общение является одной из самых важных потребностей человека. Даже миллионы лет назад, когда первобытные люди еще не умели говорить, они общались посредством жестов, звуков и рисунков. Если мы попробуем представить нашу жизнь без общения друг с другом, картина получится достаточно скучной и безэмоциональной, напоминая фантастический фильм, в котором роботы заменили человека.
Кроме того, что в процессе коммуникации мы обмениваемся информацией, мы также обмениваемся чувствами, эмоциями и жестами. Общение может проявить в нас разные чувства. Оно может оставить нас счастливыми, удовлетворенными, безразличными, раздраженными и даже разгневанными. Иногда хорошее общение может заменить лекарство в случае депрессии. Наши родственники и близкие люди могут понять нас без слов, лишь заглянув в наши глаза, и это то же будет являться коммуникацией.
Сейчас люди могут общаться даже не видя собеседника. Современные технологии дают нам такую возможность. Например, посылая сообщение через мобильный телефон, мы можем добавить различные знаки и смайлики, передавая наши эмоции; используя программу «Скайп» для общения, мы можем видеть лицо собеседника и все его жесты.
С другой стороны, есть один существенный момент, из-за которого ничем нельзя заменить общение вживую. Когда вы общаетесь с человек, он даже может не говорить ни слова, но вы поймете его чувства при его жестов, глаз, движений тела. В процессе общения мы не редко неосознанно дотрагиваемся до собеседника, при этом мы тоже получаем некую информацию.
Подводя итоги, мне бы хотелось сказать, что все современные и модные на сегодняшний день средства коммуникации безусловно полезны, если у вас нет возможности поговорить с собеседником с глазу на глаз. Однако если такая возможность все же существует, наслаждайтесь каждым моментом этого процесса, потому что общение – это сокровище, ведь «хорошее общение пробуждает как черный кофе, и после него также сложно уснуть».
My favourite lesson is Physical Training. Usually we have our physical training lessons either in the gymnasium or on the sports ground. Our sports ground is situated behind the school. On the sports ground there are a football field, a volleyball ground and a basketball ground. Before the PT lessons we put on our sports uniform. After we have changed our clothes, we go to the gymnasium and line up. At the beginning of the lesson we usually do gymnastic exercises. Then we pull up, jump, climb the rope. On the sports ground we run. Sometimes we throw balls. We often play sports games at the PT lesson. All the boys in our form like to play football. But our girls prefer to play volleyball or basketball. In winter at the PT lessons we ski. We ski on the sports ground or in the park. Sometimes, if the weather is cold, we go to skate at the skating rink. The boys play hockey on the sports ground too. Many boys and girls of our form attend various sports sections. I also attend a sports section in swimming. Three times a week I go to the swimming-pool. Some of my friends go in for tennis, track-and-field athletics, boxing and other sports.
