1. How my family and I see The New Year in: I like the New Year's Day, it is my favourite holiday. The 1st of January is a winter holiday and it is the first day of the New Year. The 1st of January is in the middle of winter. The weather is usually fine and there is a lot of snow everywhere. As the 1st of January is a holiday I don't go to school and my parents don't go to work.
We usually have a very interesting New Year's party at school. We have it on the 28th or 29th of December.
Our family prepares for the New Year's holiday beforehand. My father buys and brings home a beautiful New Year's tree at the end of December. Our family has a tradition to buy it. We don't like artificial synthetic trees. I like to decorate the New Year's tree with toys, little coloured lights, sweets and a beautiful star on the top.
My mother and grandmother prepare our holiday supper and make a nice cake. I help them to lay the table.
All the members of our family clean the flat before the holiday and then each of us try to get dressed well. We like to see the New Year in at home with our relatives. They come to see us by 9 or 10 o'clock in the evening.
At 12 o'clock we sit at the festive table and we are glad to see the New Year in. There are a lot of delicious things on the table and we begin to celebrate the holiday. We say, to each other, "Best wishes for the New Year!" We begin to eat, to joke, to sing songs, to dance to music, to listen to the president's festive speech on TV. Then we watch the holiday salute and sometimes we go to the central square where there are a lot of people welcoming the New Year in!
I hope that the next year will be better than the last one.
The New Year's Day is always connected with our new hopes and dreams.
It is a pleasant moment to get presents on the New Year's Eve.
I usually get many nice useful things from my parents and relatives.
My parents put their presents under the New Year's tree.
We don't go to bed till morning, we continue to watch TV, dance, eat tasty things and make jokes.
I enjoy this holiday very much.
As usual in our family, a week for 2-3 before the New Year we make our menu of holiday table and write a list of products that need to buy something to buy in advance and not get lost in this sea of pre-sales. Шурик заказал фаршированную рыбу, Серёжка салат из кальмаров, я салат греческий, и по-традиции мы всегда пекли кекс из полуфабриката, чтобы не париться с тортами. В итоге всё получилось совсем не так, как мы ожидали. Началось всё с того, что никто не хотел убивать живого карпа, который никак не хотел засыпать сам, несмотря на 4х часовую прогулку по морозу в целлофановом пакетике. Карп хотел жить и жил. Пока решали, что делать с карпом, переварили кальмары. Они получились резиновыми. С этой суетой забыли поставить шампанское в холодильник. Позже выяснилось, что впопыхах вместо пучка сельдерея, петрушкии кинзы было куплено три пучка кинзы, а маслины без косточек оказались маслинами с косточками. Ровно в 24 00 за наспех собранным праздничным столом все чокнулись тёплым шампанским (я тёплым морковным соком) и побежали всей семьёй на кухню выковыривать косточки из маслин для салата. В результате на праздничном столе, к которому мы подгребли в час ночи, было: тёплое шампанское, салат из резиновых кальмаров, греческий салат без селдеря, петрушки, с размазанной мягкой брынзой и маслинами из которых выковыривали косточки, так и не поднявшийся в духовке кекс и бананы, купленные заранее, дня за 3 и которые успели покрыться «трупными» пятнами. Живой карп встречал Новый год, плавая в ванне (а мы все "в мыле" душ принять так и не успели). Праздник удался!
ответ:task1.(жду ) Natural disasters like earthquakes, tornado, tsunami and floods happen more frequently nowadays. There are many reasons why they occur, but the main one is related to human activity on Earth which often has a negative impact on our environment.
All kinds of disasters are usually very damaging. Many dwellings, roads and even whole streets and cities are ruined. The number of victims usually terrifies as hundreds or even thousands of people get injured or die in disasters. However, each disaster has a different nature.
For example, an earthquake is the result of the tectonic plates’ movement which leads to the shaking of a certain area on land. Earthquakes destroy buildings and people usually become victims because they get stuck or killed under the rubble.
Tornado is also a natural disaster which looks like an enormous column of the wind which lifts cars, bicycles, furniture and many other things. It is also called a twister and it can be very dangerous if touches the surface of the ground or water.
Flood in its turn happens when rivers burst their banks. Most extended floods damage cities and wash away whole populated places. Tsunami is another natural disaster which arises as a series of huge waves caused by underwater earthquakes.
Thus, there are many natural disasters which are dangerous for all of us. We should be careful and treat our planet better in order not to die with it.
