Born June 23, 1943 in the USA.
Became famous for being one of the authors of TCP / IP and the Internet. He worked in the scientific field of computer science developing new technologies. He was a member of the US National Academy of Engineering. In 2008, Dr. Cerf became chairman of the IETF's Internationalized Domain Name Development and Implementation Committee.
Cerf is co-chair of the Silicon Valley Campus Party, the US edition of one of the largest technology festivals in the world, along with Al Gore and Tim Berners-Lee. 2009-2011 Cerf was elected to the Board of Governors of the Smart Grid Interoperability Panel (SGIP). Cerf is also one of the 15 members of the Board of Governors of the International Institute of Information Technology in Hyderabad.
