It was an ordinary morning. I heard the phone ringing. My mum has answered the phone. There was a girl speaking and she said her name was Natasha and she was a translator helping American volunteer family Linda and Norman Manzer. She has asked if we can meet each other and my mum said that we can. We met each other on the next day. Aunt Linda and Uncle Norm live in the United States of America and they do a volunteer work. Every year they come to Russia to visit children in the orphanages, hospitals and some families trying to help kids. Three years ago they also visited Russia, Belgorod, the city where I live.
That is when we met each other and it was like a real dream. For me it was like a window to another world. When I first met my new friends I did not know how our friendship will develop but I was sure that they will exist in my life in the future too.
As for me - the meeting with Linda, Norm and Natasha - is an opportunity to see another world through communication. That is why this event was very important for me. Aunt Linda, Uncle Norm and Natasha are very kind, friendly and sympathetic people. During a very short time Aunt Linda, Uncle Norm and Natasha became a family for me. It seems we know each other many years. They are very dear for me. That is how just one day can change life and makes a person happy. I could only dream about new friends in my life. I am very grateful to Linda and Norman for a friendship and support.
I appreciate every day and I am happy to every opportunity to talk to people who give positive emotions and more important - I’ve got a feeling that I am been loved and protected because this feeling makes us strong, gives us hope and we understand the meaning of our lives….
