Task
You are given 10 sentences. Discuss with your partner if it is a fact or an opinion.
Write Fact or Opinion in the space provided.
Learners work in pairs or in small groups. Teacher suggests discussing the topic
'Vehicles'. Learners have worksheets with some statements about kinds oftransport.
They take turns in explaining is the information a fact or an opinion. It will be useful to
revise kinds ofvehicles as a warm-up exercise. Teacher monitors the class and listens
to different points of view. This worksheet can be used as an example.

The «Jurassic Park» has a lot of thrill but the film can hardly be called a thriller: I think the genre of this film is a science fiction.
The film raises the eternal problem of a man and nature. It tells about a scientific experiment that had fatal consequences.
From a mosquito frozen in a block of ice, scientists managed to get a molecule of a dinosaur. On a desert island they founded an attraction — Jurassic Park. To make it safe the scientists raised only grazing female dinosaurs. But the experiment got out of control and dinosaur began to reproduce themselves. Thus dinosaur-predators appeared. After they had killed some of the scientists people had the only way out — to leave the island.
To my mind, the main idea of the film is that a man has not enough power to subject nature, there are spheres that are beyond our control, so we should not meddle in them.
The producer of the «Jurassic Park» is Steven Spielberg. He is very famous and considered to be the best scriptwriter of the genre.
The «Jurassic Park» was a massive success in our country as well as in many countries of the world.
