А. Nowadays space tourism has become more popular than it used to be. People know a lot about planets. But they want to know more. That is why space tourism is becoming more popular. Some years ago, travelling into space seemed weird and people found the idea of travelling into space incredible. Nowadays, a lot of work has been done to make space tourism real and it has become profitable.
B. Which planet seems more attractive for space tourists? Of course, it is Mars which is located farther from the Sun than the Earth. Scientists claim that we know more about Mars than we do about the ocean world. Some people are also dreaming of travelling into space to see Sirius, known as the ‘Dog Star”, which shines more brightly than all the stars in the sky.
C. Nasa is to allow tourists to visit the International Space Station from 2020, at a cost of $35,000 (£27,500) per night. The US space agency said it would open the orbiting station to tourism and other business ventures. There will be up to two short private astronaut missions per year. Nasa said that private astronauts would be allowed to travel to the ISS for up to 30 days, travelling on US spacecraft.
D. 9 years have passed since the first space tourist travelled into space. Today the space tourism industry is becoming more popular and many touristic companies are competing for leadership in organizing space tourism flights.
E. It is obvious that commercial space tourism will generate considerable economic profit for any country. But not all politicians and economists approve of the idea of the government supporting space tourism. They are worried about the future of space development because the public can lose interest in space development in pursuit of space tourism development. There is a great mistake here, because in the near future, space tourism services will become a more popular trend in the leisure and travel industry. Without any doubt, space tourism will make a considerable impact on economic growth and this impact will be only positive, not only for companies but also for world economic progress and society as a whole.
Finally, it is important to point out that space tourism will contribute to space exploration development. We will be waiting for new space tourism projects.
