I started doing this Japanese martial art when I was five years old. At first our classes looked like a game because we were wearing funny kimonos and repeating arms and legs movements. That’s what I remember from my childhood but later it became very serious. Я начал изучать это японское боевое искусство, когда мне было всего пять лет. Сначала наши занятия были больше похожи на игру, поскольку всех нас одели в смешные кимоно и заставили выполнять странные разминочные движения руками и ногами. Таковы мои воспоминания из детства, но позже, конечно, все стало намного серьезнее.
Six months later we took an exam for the white belt where we showed our skills in basic technique called kihon. Later all the students had these exams regularly and now I have the green belt. Уже через полгода мы сдавали свой первый экзамен на белый пояс, демонстрируя владения базовой техникой — кихон и показывали выученные комплексы приемов. Затем такие испытания стали для всех учеников секции регулярными, благодаря чему теперь я имею зеленый пояс по каратэ.
