They have several things in common: • The beginning of the story starts with 'Once upon a time ...' or a similar phrase. They feature ordinary people e.g. a woodcutter, a fisherman. They deal with human problems e.g. family, poverty. They contain extraordinary luck e.g. finding money or supernatural elements e.g. a goose that lays golden eggs. They contain life lessons, morals or values that are important to that culture, e.g. share your good fortune with others.
