"The Martian" is a science fiction film directed by Ridley Scott. The film was made in 2015. It is a story about an American astronaut who was left on Mars after his crew thought he had been killed in a dust storm. The main character's name is Mark Watney. His part is played by a great American actor Matt Damon.
The film shows how Mark tries to survive on the Red Planet. He is a scientist, a botanist, and he starts growing potatoes to keep him alive until people come to save him. Then an accident occurs and Mark loses his "farm".
In the end his crew returns to save him.
It is a great film, it looks realistic and makes us worry about its characters.
