The first lesson is Russian. We learn new rules, perform exercises, write dictation, essays, and expositions. These lessons teach us the correct speech, the culture of communication. I have always considered and still consider Russian language lessons to be one of the most important subjects among the academic subjects. Without knowledge of the native language, it is impossible to achieve great success in studying other subjects, where there is a lot of theoretical material and you need to learn from textbooks. The second and third lessons are usually given to serious subjects, too. This is, most often, mathematics and history or biology. If mate matica, like the Russian language, is a written subject, then history or biology are oral subjects. Here it is important to be able to listen and tell what you learned or read at home, as well as what you remembered from the teacher's explanation.
