But Scott had problems with the sled, the pony started having problems with snow and cold,so the sled had to push his people. Amundsen reached the pole on December 14, Scott on January 17. Scott was disappointed that he lost the race. The way back was very difficult for them. The cattle went 11 miles, but then the storm started and they couldn't get out of the tent where he died.
