2. Superstitions.

Personally I don't believe in superstitions. This is due to a fact that I doubt an occasional event, such as breaking a mirror could somehow influence your future life.

Russian have lots of superstitions. For example, a black cat crossing your road is supposed to bring you bad luck. Another example is spilling salt. If you have spilled salt, you should immediately throw some through your left should. This superstition arouse because some time ago, salt was a very valuable product and spilling it meant something bad, because salt could not be bought everyday. But now, things have changed and salt costs very cheap, however that superstition still exists.

English have superstitions as well. That is funny, yet in Britain black cat crossing your road brings you good luck- directly opposite to Russian superstition. Another superstition is that it brings bad luck to walk under a ladder. That may be because something may just fall on your head while you are walking there.

3. The place you live. Home life.

I live in Angarsk and I can say I quite like living there. It's a very beautiful place with a wonderful nature. Moreover, air there is exceptionally clean- the thing I also value greatly.

Yet there are some things I don't like about my neighbourhood. For example, there are some old ugly houses that are really bother the whole view of the street. It would be better if they were demolished and a new beatiful building would be built there- like a shopping mall, for example.

I have some home duties as well. I usually help my mum to do wash-up. I do not always feel like doing that, yet I never reject. In addition, I help to wash floors, because mom alone would be greatly tired doing that, but with my help we do it a lot faster.
