Washington, the federal capital of the USA, is not a typical American city. Unlike any other capital it has no skyscrapers and much undustry. Every year Washington meets millions of tourists from all parts of the world. In the centre of the city they can see the national symbols of the USA. They are the Capitol and the White House. Every street and square in the city reminds them of the glorious history of the USA. Everybody who comes to Washington can enjoy historical monuments of the city to those who struggled to make an English colony a free country.
