It was a pretty sight. Among the boys there was a little fellow who could make the swallow-dive more beautifully than the other boys. He dived again and again. The passengers watched him with delight. He was a twelve-year-old boy but he was certainly the cleverest among his friends. He was their favourite and a leader, though they were older than he. He was a beautiful boy with (a) dark complexion and dark wavy hair. He was active. He was the bravest chap I had ever seen in my life. The boy was so healthy, fresh and young, so full of life and energy, that it was a real pleasure to look at him.
