I go to my school by bus. It usually takes me about twenty minutes to get to school, but if there is a traffic jam, it can take me about half an hour. That is why I leave home 45 minutes before my lessons start.

I leave my home and go to the bus-stop which is at the corner of our block of flats. There I take bus No 7 or trolleybus No 4 and go four stops. I get off the bus at the bus-stop called "Zelenaya" and walk past a little shop straight to my school.

But sometimes my dad gives me a lift to school, especially if the weather is bad. In this case my way to school takes me only ten minutes.

Dear Keith

Thank you for your letter. I have just moved into my new home. I said I would send you my new address so make sure you come and see me!

As far as I am concerned, it’s the nicest house I’ve seen – I am extremely excited about it! A builder looked at it last week and said that the windows needed to be mended. He suggetsed that I replace them. I think I’ll have them do that before the winter. The garden is (has) overgrown too. I can do most of the gardening myself. If it’s too much work, perhaps I’ll get a gardener to help me.

On Saturday Peter phoned. (Peter’s the friend who knows my sister.) He asked if I was busy. I told him that I was only putting my things in boxes! He easily (15) ___ me to go to Blenheim Palace, which is just north of Oxford.

Blenheim was well worth visiting. While we were there, we saw the bedroom where Winston Churchill was born. The place was built in the 18th century. It’s a lovely building. The gardens were designed by Capability Brown – it was pleasant to walk round them after visiting the house.

I hope you can come and see me soon
