The first Olympic Games took place in Greece more than two thousand and seven hundred years ago. Every year there was no war for five days and sports competitions took place. The Games were organised for more than six hundred years. The modern Olympic Games began again in 1896. They take place every four years. During the Olympic Games there are competitions in many kinds of sport. They are for example: running, jumping, athletics, boxing, football and others. Winter Olympic Games took place in 1924. The Games have taken place in many countries. The sportsman who took first place in the Olympic Games received gold medals, those who were second got silver medals, and those who finished third received bronze medals. The Olympic Games are very popular in the world. They help world peace and friendship.
My favourite toy is a teddy bear. It is light brown, it has kind eyes and a smiling mouth. My father gave it to me on my fifth birthday. I like my teddy bear because it is very sweet and cuddly. My soft toy is talented because it can read stories and fairy-tales to me. I like to listen to his stories before going to bed. My bear can sit and sleep with me. When I get upset, it calms me down. My teddy bear is my best friend!
