— indeed, the majority of newspapers and magazines in ukraine published in russian. the reason is simple — the buyer wants to pay for publications in the language in which it is easier to read. the research, which four times a year by the company "tns ukraine", namely marketing & media index ukraine 2008/3 mmi+mmi 2008/4. as of the end of 2008, the main language of communication 70% of the households surveyed urban population of ukraine (cities with population over 50 thousand people) aged 12-65 years is the russian language. the study covered 77 cities surveyed more than 20 thousand respondents.
