David: We ( 1 ) went to Portugal.
Helen: Oh, very nice! How long ( 2 ) did you
spend there?
David: Only two weeks. We ( 3 ) came back last Friday.
Helen: And how ( 4 ) did you travel/get there?
David: We ( 5 ) flew to Lisbon, and then we ( 6 ) drove round the country.
Helen: And where ( 7 ) did you stay?
David: Well, we ( 8 ) didn't have much money, so we ( 9 ) stayed in cheap hotels.
Helen: And what (1 0 ) did you do?
David: In the north we (1 1 ) enjoyed walking, (1 2 ) drank Portuguese wine, and (1 3 ) ate lots of food! And Emma (14 ) took hundreds of photos. In Lisbon we (15 ) went to some great museums, but we (1 6 ) didn't have much time to see everything.
Helen: (1 7 ) Did you enjoy the holiday?
David: Yes, it (1 8 ) was fantastic.
Helen: And (1 9 ) did you bring anything back?
David: Yes, we (2 0 ) brought six bottles of 1988 port - here’s one for you!
