A teenager named DJ stays home with a babysitter. His friend Swallowed the misfortune-his ball hit the lawn opposite the house. We all know that everything that got on the lawn, the owner of the house Mr. Nebbercracker — takes. An attempt to return the ball ends with a meeting of a friend with the owner of the house. The owner is so angry with the boy because he stepped on his lawn, that he has a heart attack, and he was taken to the hospital.
The house, meanwhile, begins to live its own life. Soon friends become witnesses of that the house nearly ate the girl Jenny. They managed to save her, and now they are watching the house, trying to get into his secret.
The three of them are trying to resist the monster house, because ahead of Halloween. Children are making desperate attempts to defuse the house, but all in vain.
Meanwhile, Mr. Nebbercracker returns from the hospital and tells the boys that the house is obsessed with the soul of his late wife Constance, who died in an accident many years ago. Once Constance performed in the circus and was a "miracle" — "a woman the size of a house", over which children are always bullied, and for what she hated them. And now Constance's out for revenge. Indiscriminately.
Before the audience memories of Nebbercracker:
He and Constance go into the desert and start building a house. Suddenly from behind a Bush popping out children and throw Constantia fresh chicken eggs. Constance, angry, retreats, accidentally actuates the concrete mixer lever and falls into the concrete pit. From a huge VAT poured concrete and pours a hole with Constance. As it turned out, the identity of the evil old man, stealing other people's things from his lawn, was nothing more than a mask. That's how Mr. Nebbercracker tried to protect the carefree from his own home.
At some point a house gets out of control and starts chasing Dee Jay, Saltysam and Jenny. Mr. Nebbercracker tries to calm Constance down, but nothing comes out. Then together they decide to destroy the house to free Constance's soul. Mr. Nebbercracker's trying to blow up the house, but he can't. The house just throws it on the ground. Then Mr. Nebbercracker gives dynamite Dee Jay, who runs to the tap to throw the dynamite into the pipe. Meanwhile, Sagatys tries to detain the house with a bulldozer, but he later along with the house falls into failure. The house, unable to resist, shatters into pieces, but the Swallow was lucky. Soon he realizes that the house collapsed and begins to shout to the others that defeated the monster, but due to the fact that has not yet been destroyed chimney that leads to the heart of the monster, he is going into a single structure of the debris. In the end, the house tore off the bucket and swallowed a bulldozer. Sagatys miraculously saved from death. Climbing on the crane, DJ is afraid to break, and then Jenny kisses him. This encouraged DJ, and he gathered his strength, throws dynamite into the pipe. House explodes. From the smoke generated by the explosion, the spirit of Constance appears. Nebbercracker last takes Constance's hands, and her spirit dissolved.
The film ends with the fact that from the pit formed on the site of the house, a guy is selected, "swallowed" by the house earlier, and Mr. Nebberkriaker gives the children things, "stolen" by the house.
It may sound strange but I started roller skating when I was relatively old. A friend of mine gave me a pair of roller skates for my EIGHTEENTH birthday. He said that he WOULD TEACH me some basic skating skills the next Saturday but disappeared for weeks. At first, I wanted to give the skates to someone else but I COULDN'T think of anybody who met both requirements – to be keen on roller skating and to have the same size feet as mine. So, I put the skates on the shelf in the pantry and FORGOT about them. “What are these?” my mum asked. She saw the skates when she WAS TIDYING up the pantry, “Why do you never go skating?” “I WOULD GO skating if I could skate. But unfortunately I can’t,” I said. “And it’s better to learn to skate in childhood, isn’t it?” “Right,” Mum nodded, “But you have no choice. You’ll never be any YOUNGER than you are now.” That sounded like a good reason to start something new. I put the skates in my rucksack and headed to the park. There WERE lots of skaters in the park. Most of THEM moved gracefully and effortlessly. Some looked really clumsy.
