Everybody goes shopping just once a week. We need food, clothes and household goods every day. The best place to do your shopping is a supermarket. There is a good supermarket not far from my house. There we can choose what we like. When we come to the shop, we take a basket at the entrance and go inside. There are a lot of departments there. You can buy cereal, tea, honey, cheese and bacon at the Food Department. There are different markers, copybooks, pens, pencils and albums in the Stationery Department. There are also Sporting Goods, Electronics, Shoes and Clothes departments there. There are a lot of customers, because goods are not very expensive. The shop-assistants are attentive and friendly and often help us with good advice. I often go shopping with my parents, but sometimes I do it alone. I have some pocket money. I get it every week. It is not a big sum. I usually spend it for my needs: buying ice-cream, gum, stationery or posters of my favourite film stars. Of course, I want more pocket money. I think, pocket money is a useful thing for children. We should know how best to spend money. These skills will be very important in my grown-up life.
