The Lion King

The Lion King is a famous animated film which tells us a story of little lion Simba. He was the only son of Mufasa, the king of the Pride Lands. Mufasa was a very wise king. He told Simba a lot about being a king when they were walking around the Pride Lands.
Mufasa also had a brother. His name was Scar. Scar always dreamt of becoming the next king. That is why he always set traps for Mufasa and his little son Simba. Suddenly during one of those fights Mufasa tragically died and Simba was forced to flee.
Scar was not successful as a king. Lions were made to live with hyenas side by side. There was nothing to eat and the whole Kingdom fell into decay.
In the meantime, far away from home Simba met his new friends, warthog Pumbaa and meerkat Timon. They became best friends. Soon Simba grew into a young and strong lion. One day he met Nala, a lioness who he used to play with when they were little.
After this meeting Simba made a decision to come back home and become the king of the pride. After winning the mortal combat with Scar, Simba became the Lion King. He was as wise and fair as his father. Later, Nala gave birth to a little lion cub, the son of Simba.

People have always dreamt of travelling in space and reaching other planets.
At the beginning of the 20th century a famous Russian scientist Tsiolkovsky said that mankind will not live on planet Earth forever.
His predictions came true half a century later, when the first artificial satellite was launched.
It was on October 4, 1957.
The satellite was called Sputnik-1.
However, the most important event in space exploration took place in on April 12, 1961, when spaceship “Vostok” with a man on board was launched into space.
This first man who overcame gravitation was Yuri Gagarin.
After successful orbiting, he returned to the Earth.
This flight encouraged many other Russian cosmonauts to explore the outer space.
Among them, Titov, Nikolaev, Tereshkova, Leonov, Savitskaya and others.

My aunt was very depressed last Sunday. The weather was terrible. It was cold and rainy. Her husband was not at home. He was at hospital because he was sick. Her children were not at school. They were not in the yard, they were in the living room. The TV was broken. The children were not only upset, they were very angry. The neighbours were not happy because her children were too noisy.
The house was not clean. The sink was broken. There were dirty dishes on the kitchen table and in the sink. There was nothing in the fridge. There were no vegetables for dinner, there was no juice for her children. There was not even bread in the house! She was tired and hungry. She was just exhausted.
