Olzhas Suleimenov was born May 18, 1936 in Alma-Ata ( Kazakh ASSR ) .
1954 - Sulejmenov finishes school .
1959 - graduated from the Faculty of Geological Exploration of the Kazakh State University. During the last years Sulejmenov manages to work in geological expeditions.
1955 - Olzhas Suleimenov begins to engage in literature .
1958 - admission to the Literary Institute Gorky in Moscow in " poetic translation ."
1958 - 1961 years - study at the Literary Institute .
1959 - a selection of poems by Olzhas Suleimenov accepted for publication in " Literary Gazette ." In his specialty Suleimenova particularly interested in the problem of translation " Lay ."
