I hope this email finds you well. Thank you for asking about my favorite place. My favorite place is a small park near my house. It's called Green Park and it's located just a few blocks away from my house. I love going there whenever I get some free time.

I usually go to Green Park once or twice a week. It's a great place to relax and unwind after a long day at work. When I'm there, I like to take a walk, read a book, or just sit on a bench and enjoy the scenery.

Sometimes I go to the park alone, but I also like to go there with my friends. We often have picnics there, play frisbee or just chat. It's a great place to spend time with friends and catch up on each other's lives.

I like Green Park because it's a peaceful and quiet place, and it's surrounded by trees and flowers. It's a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Kazan
Казань Kazan is the capital city of the Republic of Tatarstan. It is also one of the most exciting cities I have ever seen. Last year we visited Kazan with our school teachers and classmates. It was an informative trip, as we saw lots of historic, natural and architectural sights. Our guide was an elderly woman who had a lot to tell. In local language Kazan means “a pot”, which is true as it resembles a hollow or boiler. The city has a favourable geographic position. It is situated near the Volga River which helped to develop trading relations from ancient times. According to historians the city is one thousand years or even older. In the middle of the 16th century it became the part of the Russian empire and the population constantly grew since then. At the moment Kazan shows population over a million people. It features a well-developed chemical and aviation industry, sports and cultural fields. Perhaps, the most popular sport in the city is football. Cultural background is also on good level. You can find the Academic Opera, the Museum of Natural History and other culturally interesting establishments there. All the guests of the city are offered to visit the Kremlin, which is a complex of outstanding monuments. For students Kazan is one of the friendliest cities. It features dozens of educational institutions where you can find the highest level of teaching. It is especially true about the Federal University or Medical University. Petrovskoe Baroque — this was the architectural style focuses on samples of Swedish, German and Dutch civil architecture. The architecture of Peter's time is characteristic of the simplicity of bulk builds, clarity of articulation and restraint of decoration, planar treatment of the facades. 1.Peter and Paul Cathedral The Church is elongated from West to East, the rectangular building of the "hall" type. The exterior is austere and modest. The walls are decorated with flat columns — pilasters — and the heads of the cherubim on the window frames. Above the roof is slender and graceful octagonal drum with narrow vertical openings. Over it — a tall, Golden crown and a thin Golden cupola. At the top there is a figure of an angel with cross in hand. The interior of the Church divided into three naves by massive columns, painted to look like marble. In its decoration were used marble, Jasper, rhodonite. The Cathedral's floor is paved with limestone slabs. 2.The winter Palace The building has a clear plan - similar to a square, a rectangle, complicated by large corbels at the corners. Its height emphasize two-tiered columns. Vertical partitioning of the Palace continues the statues and the vases, points the eyes in the sky. Varied decor: mirrors, statues, fancy gilt moulding, granite column, marble. 3.Menshikov Palace The main facade is emphasized by pilasters. Side corbels pediments ornate. The frontal zone is punctuated by a portico of wooden columns, elaborately imitating stone or marble. The floors were revealed horizontal rods. The walls of the two upper floors were decorated with pilasters of the Corinthian order, and the bottom two were United great pilasters of the ionic order. The decoration was applied Delft tiles: they completely covered the walls and ceilings.
