I'm going to give a talk about animals.
1) what wild animals live in our region
2)why people build zoos in the cities and towns
3)whether it is a good idea to keep a wild animal as a pet, and why
1) To begin with, there are about three dozen wild animals in our region. They are elks, deer, wild boars, bobcats (lynxes), bears, wolves, foxes, hares, squirrels, hedgehogs, beavers, chipmunks and much more.
2) Today it's a common thing to protect different species of animals, especially if they're in danger because everyone can hear that the number of endangered species steadily grows. In such a way the question is how humanity can stop extinction. So, people build zoos in the cities and towns, create special areas - national parks. Besides, people can see alive the animals that are exotic for their region and can't be seen in wild nature! For example, lions, tigers, giraffes, many different birds, mountain goats, monkeys and so on.
3) The last item I would like to say a few words about is whether it is a good idea to keep a wild animal as a pet, and why. From my point of view, it's a horrible idea trying to deprive animals of their habitat. For me, it's some kind of selfishness and refers to unfair actions. Besides, animals can escape and then they are dangerous for other people.
