1. The average diameter of the moon is 3475 km. She takes fifth place in the list of the largest satellites of the solar system - only Ganymede, Titan, Callisto and Io are larger than her.

10. The first living creatures flying around the moon were the Central Asian steppe turtles aboard the Soviet probe Zond-5 launched on September 15, 1968. They included Drosophila flies, Khrushchuk beetles, various plants, seeds and microorganisms.
