Usually scientists call those people who apply the scientific method . A scientist can be an expert in one or several fields of science . The concepts of “scientist” and “science” have undergone a long development and transformation, and their understanding in different cultures may differ, but at the same time a world scientific community was formed, which brought together the ideas of science and scientists in different countries. The author of the term "scientist" is considered to be the English philosopher William Wewell.
The scientific methodology that scientists use, in particular, includes the generalization of well-proven facts, the application of abstract concepts, the generation and testing of hypotheses, the creation of theories as facts of a more general level, the development of a scientific description, starting from the well-studied, towards the unknown.
Brash was a committed philanthropist who, in the mid-1980s, established the Brash Foundation, which eventually morphed, with other partners, into the Soundhouse Music Alliance. This was a not-for-profit organisation overseeing and promoting multimedia music making and education for teachers and students. The Soundhouse offers teachers and young people the opportunity to get exposure to the latest music technology, and to use this to compose and record their own music, either alone or in collaboration.
