Иван Ползунов Иван Иванович Ползунов был российским изобретателем. Он создал первый паровой двигатель в России и первые два - цилиндрический двигатель в мире. Иван Пользунйв рождался в семье солдата в городе Туринск. После получения высшего образования в 1742 от Горной промышленности Школы (Горнозаводская школа) в Екатеринбурге он работал учеником механика, и в 1748 он начал работать в Барнауле. В библиотеке Барнаула он нашел работы Михаила Ломоносова, которого он изучил один, а также описания современных паровых машин I.Shlatter. В 1763 он предложил оригинальные 1.8 h.p. паровых двигателя. Дизайн использовал два цилиндра на той же самой шахте, которая позволила ее действия полностью independantle от гидроэнергии даже на сухих местах или в горах.
