ответ на письмо dear sarah, 1)hi! how are you? i’ve been so worried about you since i got your letter. thought i’d drop you a line to help you out. 2)it’s great that you’ve made some new pals, but they don’t sound very good company, if you ask me. no one has the right to tell you how you should look and dress! 3)also, i don’t like the idea of you bunking off school just because your friends think it’s cool. why not tell them that you can meet up after school instead? 4)well, i hope it all works out for you. write back and tell me what happens! lots of love, katy

Dear Katy,

Hi! It was nice to receive a letter from you. I am doing great, thank you. Please, don't worry about me. How about you? How are you getting on at school? What about your parents? Tell them hello from me.

You were absolutely right - those friends were not so good as I thought they were. They were unreliable and impolite. But I was so happy to make some new friends. Now I know that it is better to think myself, not follow the other people's opinions.

Oh I shouldn't have skipped my classes at school too. I feel sorry about that. From now on, I will study harder and get only good marks.

Thanks for all your advice and support. You are really my best friend. I wish we will meet soon. Maybe you will come and visit me. My parents would be very glad to see you.

Yours sincerely,

Sarah.

The other day I was at my friend's. At first I didn't notice anything odd... We were drinking tea and chatting. Everything was just fine. But then I realised that something was wrong, I heard some strange sounds coming out of closet. The house was turned upside down, the stuff was thrown all over the floor. It was very bizarre. I knew my friend was a radical pedant. He definitely would have never allow something like that to happen. It was uncanny. Dreadful chill ran up my back. I realised that all the time I was chatting with the complete stranger. And that explained all that curious sights of my "assumed friend", all his nervousness and anger and general bad mood when I woke him up, made myself cup of tea and sat comfortably at the couch. "Ok then" - I exclaimed "I guess I should go now..."

Sir Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle (22 May 1859 – 7 July 1930) was a Scottish writer and physician, most noted for creating the fictional detective Sherlock Holmes and writing stories about him which are generally considered milestones in the field of crime fiction.

He is also known for writing the fictional adventures of a second character he invented, Professor Challenger, and for popularising the mystery of the Mary Celeste. He was a prolific writer whose other works include fantasy and science fiction stories, plays, romances, poetry, non-fiction and historical novels.

Arthur Ignatius Conan Doyle was born on 22 May 1859 at 11 Picardy Place, Edinburgh, Scotland. His father, Charles Altamont Doyle, was English, of Irish Catholic descent, and his mother, Mary (née Foley), was Irish Catholic. His parents married in 1855. In 1864 the family dispersed due to Charles's growing alcoholism and the children were temporarily housed across Edinburgh. In 1867, the family came together again and lived in squalid tenement flats at 3 Sciennes Place. Doyle's father died in 1893, in the Crichton Royal, Dumfries, after many years of psychiatric illness.

In 1885 Doyle married Louisa (sometimes called "Touie") Hawkins, the youngest daughter of J. Hawkins, of Minsterworth, Gloucestershire, and sister of one of Doyle's patients. She suffered from tuberculosis and died on 4 July 1906. The following year he married Jean Elizabeth Leckie, whom he had first met and fallen in love with in 1897. He had maintained a platonic relationship with Jean while his first wife was still alive, out of loyalty to her. Jean died in London on 27 June 1940.

Doyle fathered five children. He had two with his first wife: Mary Louise (28 January 1889 – 12 June 1976) and Arthur Alleyne Kingsley, known as Kingsley (15 November 1892 – 28 October 1918). He had an additional three with his second wife: Denis Percy Stewart (17 March 1909 – 9 March 1955), second husband of Georgian Princess Nina Mdivani; Adrian Malcolm (19 November 1910 – 3 June 1970); and Jean Lena Annette (21 December 1912 – 18 November 1997).
