Yaroslavl zoo landscape type is located in the city of Yaroslavl Zavolzhsky district , near Smolensk boron .Officially opened on 20 August 2008 in preparation for the 1000th anniversary of Yaroslavl . The total area of the zoo was more than 67 hectares , on the opening day was developed about 14 , then the collection contains more than 450 copies of more than 200 animal species.As of summer 2011 the zoo held 120 acres of land on which to place more than 250 species totaling 1650 individuals. During the first half of this year, it was visited by nearly 130,000 people. [1]The zoo has a "contact " section , where you can get acquainted with some of the animals . Ярославский зоопарк ландшафтного типа расположен в Заволжском районе города Ярославля, вблизи Смоленского бора.Официально открыт 20 августа 2008 года в рамках подготовки к 1000-летию Ярославля. Общая площадь зоопарка составила более 67 гектар, на день открытия было освоено около 14, коллекция тогда содержала более 450 экземпляров животных более чем 200 видов.По состоянию на лето 2011 года зоопарк занимал 120 гектаров земли, на которой разместилось более чем 250 видов общей численностью 1650 особей. За первое полугодие этого года его посетило почти 130 тысяч человек.[1]В зоопарке есть «контактный» участок, где можно поближе познакомиться с некоторыми животными. Открыт работающий круглый год демонстрационно-учебный центр «Ковчег», где юные посетители могут подружиться с безобидными видами животных и лучше их узнать.Директор зоопарка с момента основания — Теймураз Кукуриевич Бараташвили.
