Многие колледжи считают, что если они хотят, чтобы их бывшие студенты финансово своим альма матер, то нужно иметь футбольную команду-победителя. Как ни странно, но это, по-видимому, работает. Некоторые взрослые продолжают играть в бейсбол после школы и колледжа в любительских командах, хотя предполагается, что эти игры проводятся чисто для удовольствия - американцы вообще любят все, что связанно с соревнованиями и победами.
