The first US president known to all Americans as "the father of the nation" was George Washington.He was born in Virginia into a planter's family.When he was 11 his father died.The family had a lot of land but not enough money to send George to school in England as rich families used to do at that time.George learned to ride a horse,to hunt,shoot,sail and swim.George Washington began his career in the service of his county as a major in Virginia militia and later became Commander in Chief of Colonial Army during Revolutionary war.He was among those who wrote the US Constitution in Philadelphia.People respected him for his wisdom and honesty.After the war George wanted to retire and live at Mount Vernon where he had a beautiful house and a big platation.On April 30, 1789,before a large crowd Washington promised to preserve,protect and defend the Constitution of USA.This is how GW became the first President of the contry and served 2 terms.He refused a 3rd term and in 1797 he retired to Mount Vernon where he died 2 years later
After my hard and busy school year my summer holidays began. I felt happy and began to plan a lot of wonderful things to do during my summer vacation.
I was dreaming about far South countries I always wanted to visit but I had to go to the Azove seaside with my relatives. The water was very warm there because you know Azove Sea isn’t deep. What I liked there - a lot of different kinds of entertainment there: "water mountains", water scooters and discos.
There was nothing to do all day except lying in the sun and getting a wonderful tan. I was playing with my little sister on the sand and in the waves teaching her to swim. Later I returned to Kherson and spent some time in town going out with my friends, reading, listening to music, watching TV, playing computer games. After that I went to the sports camp where I spent seven days.
It was very useful experience because I had to get up very early, to train a lot, and to rest very little. But it made me stronger and healthier.
I was very happy to return home and I spent several days in my summer cottage, I helped my grandpa to dig the garden, to water plants, and to gather fruit and vegetables. I was fishing with my grandpa and we were cooking fish together. Only insects were spoiling my good mood. I enjoyed floating by boat, swimming in the river and helping my grandparents.
During my summer holidays I made many new friends, read a lot of interesting books, got to know a lot of useful things. Now I feel ready to get back to school.
I am happy to meet my friends and teachers.

Это был очень полезный опыт, т.к. я должен был вставать очень рано, много тренироваться и мало отдыхать. Но это сделало меня сильнее и здоровее. Я был очень счастлив вернуться домой и провести несколько дней на даче, я дедушке копать сад, поливать саженцы и собирать фрукты и овощи. Я рыбачил с дедушкой и мы вместе готовили рыбу. Только насекомые портили мое хорошее настроение. Я наслаждался плаванием на лодке, купанием в реке и тем, что моим бабушке и дедушке. За летние каникулы я нашел много новых друзей, прочитал много интересных книг, узнал много полезных вещей. Теперь я чувствую себя готовым вернуться в школу. Я счастлив встретить моих друзей и преподавателей.
This summer wasn't the best summer in my life. But it also wasn't boring. I loved it. On June I was with my family on the great resort- Sochi. We had a great time there. We were swimming in the sea almost every day! After that, on July we were in our country house. We put a large swimming pool there. I had a great time every day! The last mouth of the summer I spent in Moscow. I was preparing to school. I made a lot of new friend. I loved this summer. Это лето не было лучшим в моей жизни, но оно так же и не было скучным .мне понравилось. в июне я была со своей семьёй на прекрасном курорте-Сочи. мы невероятно провели время там. мы плавали в море практически каждый день. после этого, в июле мы были на даче. мы установили огромный бассейн. я отлично проводила каждый день. последний месяц лета я провела в Москве. я готовилась к школе. я завела много новых друзей этим летом.мне понравилось это лето.
