Season is one of the four equal periods into which the year is divided by the equinoxes and solstices, resulting from the apparent movement of the sun north and south of the equator during the course of the earth's orbit around it. These periods (spring, summer, autumn, and winter) have their characteristic weather conditions in different regions, and occur at opposite times of the year in the N and S hemispheres
Winter is the coldest season. The temperature is usually 15-20 degrees below zero. The rivers and lakes get frozen. It often snows in winter so the ground, trees and buildings are covered with tiny little things called snowflakes. The trees have no leaves. You can see few animals, insects and birds ‘cause the most of them went into hibernation or got away to the South. People wear heavy fur coats and boots. Though winter is very cold you can find it very funny and joyful. Children play hockey, snowballs, skate, make snowmen.
Spring is the time of rebirth. Trees become green, the ground turns motley because of great number of different flowers and the air is filled with scent. The birds sing songs. Animals and insects awake after long sleep. Life is in full swing. The average temperature is about 15-20 degrees above zero.
Summer is the warmest and driest season. The temperature is about 20-30 degrees above zero. People wear shorts and T-shirts. It is also the vacation season. People usually go to the seashore or travel to different countries. They go to the country, go swimming, play outdoor games such as football, volleyball, basketball, badminton, tennis, etc. You can find a lot of baby animals at this time.

At last the winter holidays came! I was very happy! I didn't have to get up early in the morning and run to school. I could stay in the bed till midday. But I didn't want to sleep. There were a lot of things to do.
The weather was fine so my freinds and I went to the skating- rink almost every day. It was fun!
But unfortunately I fell down and broke my right leg. So, the rest days I had to stay at home and only watched TV and played computer games. Now I hate any TV programme!

Погода была хорошая, так что мои друзья и я ходили на каток почти каждый день. Это было весело! Но к сожалению я упал и сломал правую ногу. Так что оставшиеся дни каникул мне пришлось быть дома, смотреть телевизор и играть в компьютерные игры. Теперь я ненавижу любую телевизионную программу!
