When I am not doing my homework or studying for tests, I try to see my friends. Saturday night is really the only time when everyone’s free, because most of my friends works on Saturdays. I have a job in a home and garden centre, but now it is getting harder to find enough time to do that and all of my school work too. I need the money, though, because I don’t get any pocket money from my mum. I do some babysitting, which is good because I usually get my school work done at the same time, and I get paid for it! Most of the boys in my class seem to spend a lot of their free time on computers. More and more of them is getting computer games, or doing online gaming, but I don’t like them much. And these days people use instant messaging to talk to friends, but I prefer texting my friends on my mobile – I hate sitting in front of a computer for hours. I do enough of that with my homework!!

Dear Mark,
It was great to receive a letter from you and learnt that you play the clarinet at the school band. I think it’s really an exciting hobby.
As for me, I usually listen to modern music, actually pop, heavy metal and so on.
I enjoy karaoke because my friends and I do it together. It’s always joyful and unforgettable!
By the way, many years ago I played the piano, but I can’t do it nowadays as I haven’t practised it for a long time. Also, I’d like to play the guitar. Maybe I’ll learn to play it one day but now I don’t have enough time.
