This spring break I spent in the southern Urals near the town of Magnitogorsk. We lived in a boarding house on a Bannoe lake near the ski center.
The first day. We arrived very early. Then settled. After that we lifted on a small lift onto the mountain. This day was cloudy and we saw only skiers diving into the mist of clouds. After lunch we went to the pool.
Second day. I tried skiing. It appeared to be very difficult. After dinner we walked around the lake. There we saw a huge blue ice floe frozen into the shore.
Third day. In the morning we skated on the tubes (large circles with the bottom) from a hill and lifted on a small lift. After lunch we went to the water park Abzakovo. It is small, but very good. While we were waiting for the bus my mother bought us cookies. Then a flock of tits appeared and perched on our hands. We had to give them our cookies. They ate from our hands.
Fourth day. We went to a horseback base in the mountains. There we were led into the stables and listened to a little excursion. Then I learned to ride a pony and sledged through in the forest. We froze very much and went to bask in the bath. There I beat myself with spruce twigs and cooled in the snow. After we played billiard.
Fifth day. We traveled to the water park in Magnitogorsk . I did not really like it because there were to much people, but there was water pioneerball.
Sixth day. Before lunch we went to the tubing and after went to the pool. In the evening we skated.
Seventh day. We played paintball. We were dressed in military uniforms, helmets and machine-guns. Then we crawled through snowdrifts and shot each other with rubber balls filled with liquid paint. It was fun. That evening we boarded on the train and went home.
Yet before last summer I didn't have an idea where I can spend coolly my spring vacation.
But the last summer holiday that I just spent was extremely interesting and fascinating. It's held on the first of September. I and my eight friends, all pupils of high school # 35, traveled to Almaty. We visited many well-known places such as: Tamgaly Tas, Issyk Kurgan, Medeo, Alatau mountain, Turgen waterfall. These places gave me so many memories.
At first, we were off at 6 a.m. and visited Tamgaly Tas. This place is a historic place of first people, ancestors of Kazakh nation. We heard many emotional stories about them and about the this place such as: the history of ancient kazakh people, how they developed workmanship and art. I was very surprised when I saw stony pictures of people of bronze and iron periods. There were so many beutiful and unusual pictures describing and depicting animals. After that we visited other places that I mentioned before. And I liked them too. And finally I was impressed by the magic sound of sand on Issyk Kurgan.
I liked my summer holiday so much. That's why I decided to come to Almaty again for this spring vacation.
