The London Transport Museum located in the heart if Covent Garden in London. It is dedicated to the history of transport of the city. The museum attracts many tourists every year. The museum was established 37 years ago in 1980. The museum operates from two sites within London. The main site located in Covent Garden and is open to public every day and another site located in Acton and it is known as the London Transport Museum Depot. The museum's collection contains a wealth of heritage vehicles, posters, photographs, artworks, films and videos, engineering drawings, uniforms, station signs and tickets. The galleries are full of interactive exhibits for young people and adults, including real buses and trains to play on. The museum has on display many examples of buses, trams, trolleybuses and rail vehicles from 19th and 20th centuries. One can also find the first underground electric train, from 1890, here.
