Litter and (1) rubbish is not just a problem in the countryside – our cities and towns also (2) suffer. The “Big Tidy Up” was started in the UK in 2008 and (3) volunteers have already (4) collected 50 000 bags of litter in the streets and parks. Scouts, schools and local communities organize (5) events in September to tidy up their areas. The project (6) aims to get bigger every year and get people to take (7) responsibility for their communities.
