Yesterday we went to Stratford on a school trip. (Well, all of us apart from Stacey. She stayed at home because she was ill. I got up at seven o'clock because we had to meet at school at eight. We went by coach, which is like a comfortable bus. I sat right at the back, next to my best friends Becky and Caroline. Some other friends sat in front of us, so we had a great time. We told lots of jokes and sang songs. When we got there, we walked round the town on foot for about an hour, then had lunch in a fast-food restaurant. After lunch, we saw a Shakespeare play at the theatre. It was very good, but a bit long. It went on nearly three hours! We all slept in the coach on the way back - we were so tired! It was a great day.
First of all we are going to do a lot of sightseeing. We are going to see the Kremlin, Red Square, St Basil's Church, Lenin's Tomb, the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts and The State History Museum. Dad is also going to take us to the famous Bolshoi Ballet theatre. Isn't it wonderful, My sister wants to go on a day trip down the Moskva River but Dad says it's too tiring, so we are not going to travel there. That's OK though because we are going to spend a whole day at the Moscow Zoo, the largest zoo in RUSSIA which has a great collection of animals and exotic species. I'm going to take lots of interesting pictures to show you when I get back. I'm also going to bring you a Matryoshka. Mum can't wait to go shopping. She wants to visit the GUM department store, the largest department store in Russia, where you can fihd everything from clothes to caviar. She says she needs to have a whole day there. As for me, I'm going taste as many local dishes as possible. Russian cuisine is delicious and their pies and chocolates are just great. I hope I can fit in my clothes when we come back. Greetings from Moscow! I arrived here with my family yesterday and we're already excited! The city is terrific and there are a million things to do. Take care, Lucy.
