Распад древнерусского государства стал следствием ослабления Киева. появились новые торговые пути ,которые шли в обход столице .также на местах некоторые князья предпринимали самостоятельно набеги на кочевников и оставляли награбленное богатство себе ,что позволяло им развиваться автономно от центра. Ряд княжеств оказалось опустошенным в результате войн .этим пользуются половцы- кочевой народ из Южной степи. они нападают и разоряет пограничные земли ,каждый раз заходя всё дальше и дальше. несколько князей предприняли попытку отбить набеги но безуспешно .
