Каждую минуту своей жизни, работая, общаясь и даже бездельничая, человек проявляет те или иные черты своего характера. Но лучше всего человеческая сущность раскрывается в экстремальных ситуациях. В такой ситуации и оказался Васютка, главный герой рассказа В. П. Астафьева «Васюткино озеро» . Этот мальчик мой ровесник, но я совсем не уверен, что сумел бы проявить такую же решительность, находчивость и мужество, если бы заблудился в лесу. Кто из нас не любит читать прекрасные стихи о красоте родного края, купаться в море, лазить по горам, бродить по лесу в поисках ягод и грибов! Общаясь с природой, робкие становятся смелее, жестокие - добрее, угрюмые - улыбчивее. Не зря говорят, что человек - дитя природы. Однако любая мать бывает со своими детьми не только ласковой и нежной, но и строгой и суровой. Именно такой увидел тайгу маленький герой рассказа В. П. Астафьева «Васюткино озеро» .
Васютка отправился в лес за орехами для рыбаков, погнался за глухарем и заблудился. Конечно, он очень испугался, ведь одно дело бродить по знакомым тропинкам, а другое - потеряться в бескрайнем зеленом океане! Но природа не любит слабых и трусливых, и Васютке это было прекрасно известно.
Конечно, Васютка не раз бывал в этом лесу, слышал он и рассказы рыбаков, как следует поступать в подобных ситуациях. Но вместе с тем он прекрасно понимал, как легко навсегда сгинуть в бескрайних суровой тайги. Вот почему мальчику потребовались вся его воля, самообладание и мужество, чтобы не поддаться панике. Как опытный взрослый, Васютка обдумывал каждый свой шаг, взвешивал каждое действие, добывая еду, выбирая направление, устраиваясь на ночлег.
Благодаря своему мужеству, Васютка вышел из леса победителем. И победа его даже не в том, что он поведал рыбакам о чудесном, полном рыбы, озере, а в том, что он сумел преодолеть растерянность и страх в самом себе, что и ему вернуться домой. Пришлось мальчику применять на практике все, что он когда-либо слышал о подобных ситуациях. Все пригодилось - и поучительные рассказы рыбаков, и собственные догадки. Но больше всего Васютке выдержка и самообладание, не дававшие ему опускать руки, терять надежду. Мальчик с честью выдержал испытание. Проведя несколько суток в лесу, он вышел к реке, где его подобрали вернуться домой знакомые рыбаки. Я уверен, что эти долгие дни наедине с природой Васютка запомнит навсегда.
