Most of us enjoy wearing T-shirts, especially in summer, and some people have a lot of them to choose from. This is because t-shirts are easy to buy and easy to look after. Some people, who don′t like nighties and pyjamas, use T-shirts to sleep in. Also, because of the pictures and words on them, some people use T-shirts to tell the world what places they visited during their holidays or which is their favorite pop group.
The T-shirts began its life many centuries ago. First, people wore them under shirts or sweaters. But about a hundred years ago American sailors began to wear their T-shirts if they were shirts. Soon Hollywood film stars made T-shirts fashionable and that nearly every young man wanted to have a T-shirt. But it took a few more years for the T-shirt to become popular with women too.
