Dear Becky,
Thank you for your letter. Sorry that I haven’t written you for so long but I was busy all this time. You want to know my personal opinion about 1) путешествие.
Travelling gives you many wonderful experiences you cannot find in your own country. You meet 2) местные люди and get to understand different cultures. It’s so 3) восхитительно.
I love planning 4) поездки and doing some research on the country or countries I want to visit. Sometimes I like to plan everything 5) заранее, my 6) полеты, 7) гостиницы and tours. As for me, the most exciting thing is 8) прибытие in a country with no hotel reservation and no fixed plans. I prefer 9) останавливаться in hostels and guest houses. You get to meet and talk to different and interesting people and share information. I also like to visit places that are off the beaten track. Being somewhere with thousands of other tourists? It’s not my cup of tea.
I don't think we are great travelers in our family. But we sometimes make open-air 10) путешествия all together or my daddy and me. Mom is not so fond of walking 11) пешком and camping. Our favorite route is travelling in the nearest countryside, which is sometimes very exciting, if the weather doesn't 12) испортить the impression. We have a kind of our place in the local forest where we usually stay.
