Dear Samuel,
Thank you for your letter. I am so glad to hear that you've passed your exams! Entering college is very important step in our lives. I think computing is a great choice, and I am considering chosing one of the IT-related degrees myself. I think that modern life is closely connected with all sorts of technologies that kind of degree would be very useful. I have done some research and almost every single company has an IT-department nowadays. Besides, my parents encourage me to study technologies. Many of my friends are going to study computing or engineering too, but I think the most important thing is to study what you like, and not what everyone else likes. What do you think?
Are you going to visit me before your college classes start?
Your friend,
Michael
